The Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation skills course has been developed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to administer basic life support and use an AED in an emergency. Early defibrillation and CPR are vital in the chain of survival following a cardiac arrest. This course is able to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to operate the AED confidently. The training is an ideal course for anyone wishing to upgrade their skills and learn more about operating these lifesaving devices.
Assist First Aid Training is passionate about giving individuals the confidence to become involved in any First Aid situation. The most urgent of these is, without doubt, a cardiac arrest. This course teaches excellent, practical CPR, combining the use of a defibrillator.
We provide our AED and CPR course across the South East, and believe that it is hugely beneficial to increase knowledge after completion of a First Aid at Work certificate.
What does the Automated External Defibrillator Course include?
When administering First Aid to a casualty, it is important to be able to react correctly should their heart stop beating normally. Our AED and CPR course will teach you to understand the basic life support requirements, as well as basic life support techniques. We will also instruct you and your staff on how to use an automated external defibrillator safely, and how to maintain and troubleshoot your AED to ensure it is ready for use. You will learn post-resuscitation procedures, giving you a full knowledge of what to do from start to finish. This course is taught using an AED simulator to give learners some practical experience.
